  Biking & Fondue

Kev and I got a quick ride up in Auburn (I may try to map out the route w/ a profile a little later, don't have the software in front of me at the moment)

Start: 2:20p from the Raley's shopping center off Foresthill Rd
End: 4:30p same spot
Riding Time: 1 hr 51 mins
Distance: 30.1 mi
Ave Speed: 16.2 mph

Overall a good ride, i was feeling pretty slow, i think due to the food i ate before. kev started out strong with a red bull boost, while i warmed up late in the ride. Some good rollers and moderate decents. always like riding in the hilly air.

Route: (start) Forresthill to Bowman North - East on Dry Creek Rd - North on Lake Aurthur Rd - (then we tried going across the fwy at placer hills road and turning north on Bass Lake Rd, but it dead ended..., then crossed over on Orchard and turned up Burgen Rd and it deadended too!) - over I-80 at Orchard - Left on Applegate - Right on W Paoli Rd - left on Ponderosa Wy - turns into Canyon Way - we turned around at Yankee Jims Rd - passed back over fwy at Weimar Cross Rd - right on Placer Hills Rd - back on Lake Aurthur Rd - to dry creek - to bowman - to foresthill. As you notice we're still trying to figure out the routes without a map on hand. the more riding we do up there the more we'll remember!

After finishing up the ride we visited with jonesy and went to the Pack's for some Fondue. It was both kev and my first fondue experience, can't say that i can complain at all. you take some food dip it in some cheese and eat. you take some wine drink a little and smile. you take some food dip it in chocolate and eat. you take some wine drink a little and talk...wash, rinse, repeat...

currently living in sac, ca. working for water resources. went to ucd in civil, grew up in turlock, ca. there is a lot to say about me, i am constantly redefining myself everyday. i think the things i do define who i am on a certain level. although the more i communicate and interact with others the more i find out about myself. i can be completely happy without interaction with people though. when i run, when i bike, i am completely in my own thoughts, sometimes i just pay attention to my surroundings, other times, my mind is going a million miles a minute. sometimes i have such a big picture perspective, other times i will really focus on something specific. i'll keep living, learning, experiencing...
