  Recipes...
Where do you get your good recipes? Is it just from practice or do you have a few secret ones stored away from relatives, etc? One of my cooking consultants sent me a link for past Cook's Illustrated (CI) recipes on the web, http://longboredsurfer.com/recipes.php, it's got some good stuff in there. CI is basically the engineers guide, I say. They tell you why they put in certain ingredients and what will make the recipe easier and that they went through 5 gajillion iterations to get there. Gotta love it! One of my personal favs on that site is the pad thai, try it out, it's actually not that bad if you prep everything a day before. And add tofu....

  2006 Driving Recap

Here are a few stats from driving my car in 2006:
~mileage: 82,500
2006 miles: ~7,500 by me
Make: Honda
Model: Accord
Year: 1999
Not too many problems with my baby this year, she seems to be holding up just fine. Gets me around just fine.
According to the EPA it's about average to put ~231 mi/wk on a vehicle in the US, which translates to 12,000 miles a year. Guess I'm down a little bit on that right now. Not too shabby. (ref: http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/emissions/ind_calculator.html)

  Puppies are getting bigger!

The puppies are definitely getting bigger. They run around all day and wrestle with each other and sleep. They are still super cute and a lot of fun. They need some training but they're starting to learn a few things. =)

  Puppies!!

You want to see a couple of cute puppies? Well, check it out, there are a couple new additions to the house. Trev got him some doggies today. We think they are about 10 or 11 weeks old. He found out about them from one of his co-workers, at whose house they were at for a while. They are still yet to be named, but I'm sure will come soon. So for now the house is in the process of being doggy proofed.

They are supposedly a chow and husky mix. My guesses are below:

Husky: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenland_Dog
Chow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chow_%28dog%29

We'll see how big they get! Very exciting though!

currently living in sac, ca. working for water resources. went to ucd in civil, grew up in turlock, ca. there is a lot to say about me, i am constantly redefining myself everyday. i think the things i do define who i am on a certain level. although the more i communicate and interact with others the more i find out about myself. i can be completely happy without interaction with people though. when i run, when i bike, i am completely in my own thoughts, sometimes i just pay attention to my surroundings, other times, my mind is going a million miles a minute. sometimes i have such a big picture perspective, other times i will really focus on something specific. i'll keep living, learning, experiencing...
