No More VB Dwntwn? No Way!
So I had to do it. I had to check out how long it would take me to get downtown to try to get in some games today.
Previous distance fm office to park: 2 blocks
Time to get there: 2min
Current dis fm office to park: 10mi
Time to get there: 17min
So I made it down and got a few games in. It's doable, but definitely not going to be as frequent any more. Today was good enough weather where I didn't really need to take a shower. But really the only added time for me should be the travel time. I'm saving a little on the setup and takedown of the net. I can't justify spending as much time on that any more, so I figure balancing that out with some of my travel time and playing one less game should be about the same on paper. We'll see how that turns out. My plan is that when the farmers markets start up again in May that I'll shoot down there on Tuesdays, get some fruits and such and throw in a couple games and scoot back to work. Good theory, I think...
