Janurary 2006 log - 31 days in the month - 25 days worked - 1 day of vb - 4 days on stationary bike - 5 days in the gym - 1 hike (devils punchbowl) - 1 time to church
Heading HomeI'm heading home on Friday. At least that's the plan right now. It'll be nice to jump in my bed again. I think I've spent two nights in it since before Thanksgiving, so I'll be thankful for reworking my contour back into the mattress. It's been a good trip down here and I've learned a bit, met a lot of new people and got some good work in. If anyone is ready for doing something give me a jingle.
Devil's PB Went for a quick hike at Devil's Punchbowl, which is pretty close to my work project. I got a short trek in by doing the loop and then heading up towards Devil's Chair. I didn't head all the way there although, probably about 2.5mi from it. I still can't believe how warm it is here in the high desert, 57 deg today... Still a good relaxing walk. Had lunch along the creek, not a bad day off.

pbh4 mindWhat are some of the intellectual influences that affect what I'm thinking about and how I process it and what I may be thinking about in the future? Some of the things I can put together, at least in a tangable way are: - books I've read - classes I've taken - people I converse with and the converstaions I've had - what I'm working on in my profession - gadgets and technology I feel I need to keep up on - things in the media and/or world that I become aware of

In this age of technology and fast paced information acquisition sometimes I don't completely process all the things I take in. And even though I don't necessarily process everything, I believe much of what I have been bombarded with does affect me in a number of different ways. In this post I'm attempting to structure some of the ways I think I can break down and analyze what is going on with me at just a few points and aspects of my life. So that involves what I do, what I think, spend my time doing, etc. Here are some categories:
/ mind / body / soul /environment / emotion / time /
currently living in sac, ca. working for water resources. went to ucd in civil, grew up in turlock, ca. there is a lot to say about me, i am constantly redefining myself everyday. i think the things i do define who i am on a certain level. although the more i communicate and interact with others the more i find out about myself. i can be completely happy without interaction with people though. when i run, when i bike, i am completely in my own thoughts, sometimes i just pay attention to my surroundings, other times, my mind is going a million miles a minute. sometimes i have such a big picture perspective, other times i will really focus on something specific. i'll keep living, learning, experiencing...
