  April Fools - Lafayette Ride

Kev and I got out for a ride in between the rain that came down this last weekend. I think this was probably one of the nicest rides I'd been on in a while. This is how the day's adventure began. Kev had gone to the kings v golden state game the night before and spent the night down in the bay area. I hitched a ride with tyler who was heading over to the bay early saturday morning (kev and I also had a team meeting for the relay in concord so we were planning on being in the bay area anyway). We talked with Kev and tried to figure out where he was staying and then tyler said he'd drop me off by a bart station and kev could just come and meet us there, when we could then figure out what ride to do.

kev met us and tyler took off. kev and i were not very familar with the area and tried to figure out which way to ride. We tried looking for a bike shop to ask around but to no avail. Then i saw a cyclist ride past us. I figured why not ask him? So we hussled up to him and asked him if he knew of a good ride around the area. He said he was just starting out on an approx 2hr loop and said we could tag along if we liked. Perfect, so we chatted it up with him and he showed us the way.

The ride was awesome, a perfect one for the day for me. we went up and around Brioness and San Pablo Reservoirs and then made the loop back.

currently living in sac, ca. working for water resources. went to ucd in civil, grew up in turlock, ca. there is a lot to say about me, i am constantly redefining myself everyday. i think the things i do define who i am on a certain level. although the more i communicate and interact with others the more i find out about myself. i can be completely happy without interaction with people though. when i run, when i bike, i am completely in my own thoughts, sometimes i just pay attention to my surroundings, other times, my mind is going a million miles a minute. sometimes i have such a big picture perspective, other times i will really focus on something specific. i'll keep living, learning, experiencing...
