  Sonoma Ride Again!

So the DDC (Davis Double Century) is coming up this weekend. I haven't been riding at all and my rear end is going to be a tensy bit sore, I'm sure. My momma came up to sac for Mother's Day and we had planned to head over to kev's and trev's parents for lunch. Kev and I wanted to get in the steep climb before their house, so we had trev drop us off about 40mi out. We got in some climbing and it felt pretty good. That is until about mile 36, when I basically hit a wall. My body wasn't quite used to long extended exerted activity and I really ran out of energy. To get up the hill to kev's parents house I just put my head down and made 's's on the road and made the steep 1/2 mile (which actually is tough, but even tougher with no energy).


We did one of the hard climbs from Stage 2 of the 2007 Tour of California, but going the opposite direction. It was still tough... Here's what the profile of Oakville Grade & Trinity Grade looks like for the way we went:
